Call on Mondelēz to improve its supply chain transparency!

Help us reach 5,000

I am calling on Mondelēz to be transparent and accountable in your cocoa supply chain to help end forced labor and forced child labor.

Given Mondelēz’s lack of transparency, such as refusing to participate in the yearly Chocolate Scorecard, I feel that I cannot make an informed decision on whether to purchase your products even with the Cocoa Life program.

I am therefore demanding that Mondelēz:

  • Describe the volume and percentage of cocoa farmers under Cocoa Life’s coverage, as well as the anticipated date of reaching 100% coverage.
  • Disclose how many farmers earn a living income—and how many do not.
  • Ensure full traceability of cocoa to farmers in the Cocoa Life program.
  • Share concrete plans to ensure farmers are paid enough to support their families so they aren’t pushed to rely on child labor or suffer or perpetuate exploitation.
  • Expand and report on systems for monitoring child labor and coverage of child protection and education programs.
  • Commit to ending deforestation and the continued use of forced child labor to clear land, and report on progress by the end of 2025.
  • Publish a time-bound plan to reduce pesticide use.

Transparency is key to ending forced child labor and exploitation in cocoa.
