U.S. Elections 2024: Confronting the legacy of slavery
With California and Nevada on the brink of voting to ban involuntary servitude, we sit down with Katharine Bryant of Walk Free and Jeronimo Aguilar from Legal Services for Prisoners with Children to examine how U.S. prison labor, as it currently operates, perpetuates slavery in the 21st century.
Freedom United is interested in hearing from our community and welcomes relevant, informed comments, advice, and insights that advance the conversation around our campaigns and advocacy. We value inclusivity and respect within our community. To be approved, your comments should be civil.
A few things we do not tolerate: comments that promote discrimination, prejudice, racism, or xenophobia, as well as personal attacks or profanity. We screen submissions in order to create a space where the entire Freedom United community feels safe to express and exchange thoughtful opinions.
Such slavery must be banned all over the world. Every person is a free person and has not been bought by some idiots. In Germany, the judiciary is a bunch of criminals who just want to rip people off and if they don’t do what they want, they threaten them with prison. When will the Allied military police finally be ready to arrest these criminals???
