Survivor Alliance takes an intersectional approach to oppression. This means that multiple forms of oppression overlap with each other. A survivor’s experience is defined by their race, religion, gender and sexual orientation. Not enough discussion has taken place in the anti-trafficking movement about addressing the specific needs of LGBTQ+ survivors.
