New Jersey is facing a Human trafficking problem just like all the other States throughout America. There have been 86 cases noted in N.J. this year up through June 15.
Last year the N.J. count was 155 total. New Jersey has established a human trafficking task force to combat its growing problem. Traffickers use force, fraud, or coercion to trap people into modern slavery against their will. Most cases this year involve women and children and both forced labor and commercial sex.
