Head of the Commonwealth supports modern slavery laws

Queen Elizabeth II, Head of the Commonwealth, reportedly expressed her support for modern slavery laws similar to the UK’s 2015 Modern Slavery Act to be adopted in all 52 Commonwealth countries in order to be better able to tackle modern slavery and human trafficking. This reported explicit support from the Queen as Head of the Commonwealth is a positive step forward to ensuring that an anti-slavery mandate is pursued at CHOGM 2018.
