DCFS is Asking for Help to End Trafficking of Children

In Illinois, the Department of Children and Family Services DCFS is asking for help from the general public in order to deter child sex trafficking…

This article explains that children are being trafficked throughout Illinois and that the Department has investigated over 600 cases since 2011.  Some children are only 12-years-old.  DCFS is teaching the signs that may indicate a child is being victimized: running away from home, wearing expensive cloths or jewelry, new tattoos that could indicate “branding” by a trafficker, or isolation from family and friends.
