This December, Human Rights First named Raimi Vincent Parasio as their contemporary abolitionist of the month.
In spite of violence against him and his family, Parasio has continued to fight against slavery in the Congo by cooperatively working with NGOs and government officials to stop sex and labor trafficking in the Republic of the Congo. He keeps exposing wrongs and working with more and more survivors.
